This Privacy Policy explains what information intelcity.com (the “Site”) collects, how it is used and the choices you have. The Site is published by Intelligent City (“IntelCity”, “we”, “us”), a project of Vasserman & Co, LLC.
1. The short version
The Site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising, no analytics tools and no tracking cookies. The only personal information involved is the technical information any website receives when you visit it, described below. We do not sell personal information.
2. Information collected automatically
Like every website, our server receives basic technical details with each request and records them in standard server logs: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, your browser and device type, and the referring page, if any. We use these logs only to run the Site, keep it secure, diagnose problems and understand overall traffic. Logs are rotated and deleted automatically on a short schedule, normally within a few weeks.
3. Cookies and browser storage
The Site does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser to track you.
4. Third-party services
- Hosting. The Site runs on Amazon Web Services servers in the United States, which process the request data described above on our behalf.
- Fonts. The Site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and browser details. See Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Links. News stories and data sources link to other websites. When you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
5. If you contact us
If you write to us, we use your name, email address and message only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list without your consent.
6. Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above as needed to run the Site, when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of IntelCity, our users or others, or as part of a merger or transfer of the Site, in which case this policy continues to apply.
7. Security
The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to our server is restricted. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to receive a copy of it. We respond to requests within 30 days. Because we hold very little information, a request usually needs the date, time and IP address of your visit so we can find it.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, used and disclosed, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Residents of the EU, UK and similar jurisdictions: we process server log data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
9. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States, and information is processed there. By using the Site you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
10. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and material changes will be noted on this page.
