These Terms and Conditions govern your use of intelcity.com (the “Site”), published by Intelligent City (“IntelCity”, “we”, “us”), a project of Vasserman & Co, LLC, an Oregon limited liability company. By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What the Site is
The Site is a free, public source of information about the world’s great cities. It includes city profiles, scores across the 14 domains of a city, drawbacks, neighborhood safety figures, decision notes and a news page. You do not need an account to use it, and nothing is sold on it.
2. How to read our content
- Public data is not verified. Everything published on the public Site, including scores, statistics, safety figures, GDP figures and news summaries, is compiled from public sources and has not been verified by IntelCity. Only data provided to IntelCity members is verified for accuracy.
- Scores are estimates. City scores and drawback ratings are IntelCity’s own judgments, made for comparison and discussion. They are not official statistics.
- Safety figures come from official sources. Neighborhood crime figures are taken from police and government publications and carry a reliability grade from A to D. Their accuracy depends on how each source records and publishes crime, and they may be incomplete or out of date.
- News is summarised. Headlines and summaries on the News page are written by IntelCity with the help of AI, from reporting by the linked outlets. Read the original story before relying on it.
- Decision notes are summaries for discussion, not formal histories.
3. Not advice
Nothing on the Site is legal, financial, investment, tax, immigration, relocation or personal safety advice. Decisions about where to visit, live, raise a family or build a business are yours. Please check current official sources and take professional advice before acting.
4. Accuracy
The data on the public Site is not verified; only data provided to IntelCity members is verified for accuracy. We work to keep the Site accurate and current, but cities change quickly and sources differ. We do not guarantee that any content is complete, correct or up to date, and we may change or remove content at any time without notice.
5. Intellectual property
The Site’s text, scores, data compilations, design, logo and the IntelCity framework of 14 city domains are owned by IntelCity and protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and share the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may quote short passages with clear credit to IntelCity and a link to intelcity.com.
